Ramadan Mubarak

Ramadan Mubarak to you and your family 👪

May all people, not just Muslims find peace, blessings, comfort, and relief during this month and beyond.

This Ramadan will be different from previous Ramadan's with no congregational prayers, no community Iftars no nightly congregational prayers and no Eid prayer celebrating the end of Ramadan.

The sense of community that exist during Ramadan will be missed by all. People will explore creative and ingenious ways to gather, preserve and experience the sense of community that all Muslims feel during the month of Ramadan.

It is my sincere hope that we all take advantage of the opportunities presented to us to be more introspective and reflect on the past year plus the year to come.

Surely, this past year there is plenty to reflect upon. Life as we know it has changed at least temporarily.

One of the main pillars of Islam is charity. Perhaps this is the opportunity for us all to increase the level of charity we extend to friends, neighbors, and those we do not know.

In addition, this is an incredible opportunity to practice and cultivate a sense of empathy, sincerity and humility towards our fellow human beings; many of whom are suffering.

Insha'Allah peace and tranquility will descend upon the world during the month of Ramadan. Insha'Allah may the month of Ramadan this year provide peace, respite and relief for all who have been affected by the COVID-19 virus, Amin.
